AnyMedia, Hybrid-Fiber Coaxial and Switched Digital Broadband Access Systems (1994-2002) Lead software engineer on an international software team developing embedded system software. AnyMedia is a globally deployed digital loop carrier that provides telephony, ATM-based xDSL and Ethernet services for a multi-services access platform. HFC and SDBAS provide narrowband with Data and Video services.
SLC-2000 Access System (1991-1994) Designed, developed and tested embedded system software using C++ on the SUN/UNIX platform utilizing the full SDLC. SLC-2000 is a digital loop carrier providing narrowband telephony services. Developed debug TRACE feature used by all project developers. Led multiple software quality audits with Bellcore Communications Research (BCR) and Software Quality International, Inc. Achieved ISO 9001 certification, BCR RQMS certification (Reliability and Quality Measurement) and >85% compliance with SEI Level 3. Compiled compliance exhibits, coordinated quarterly audits, tracked open action items and provided process improvements plans.
Enhanced Modular Signal Processor (1986-1991) Developed firmware for the Arithmetic Processor Control Unit (APCU) of the EMSP, a U.S. Navy project requiring U.S. Secret Security Clearance. Maintained Instruction Stream Assembler and FPAP (floating point simulator) software tools for the AP team. Contributed to the APCU Program Design Specification and authored the AP Control Language Manual.
Developed application software (FORTRAN) in the Applications and Interpretations Group for curve-fitting analysis and interpolation routines to compute Gamma Ray and Short Normal Resistivity borehole corrections for the Measurement-While-Drilling project.
